As nature awakens in vibrant color, we invite you to anchor your spirit in the quiet, steady growth of abiding in Christ. Discover how to cultivate a flourishing faith that withstands the changing seasons of life.
A Word for the Season
As the world around us blossoms, we are reminded that true vitality is not manufactured; it is received. Just as the earth prepares to bloom through the unseen work of roots deepening in the soil, our faith flourishes when we prioritize the quiet, hidden rhythms of spiritual discipline. This season invites us to move from frantic doing to purposeful abiding.
The Scriptural Foundation
In John 15:5, Jesus offers the secret to a flourishing life: proximity. To abide means to make our home in Him, allowing His life-giving sap to flow through our daily routines. When we pair this abiding with the truth of Psalm 1:3—that the one who delights in the law of the Lord is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in its season—we find that our spiritual growth is both inevitable and beautiful.
Coaching in Practice
Begin this month by choosing one 'rhythm of rest.' Perhaps it is five minutes of scripture reading before your morning coffee, or a focused prayer walk where you simply name the blessings you see blooming around you. Coaching is about small, consistent shifts. When you consciously invite Christ into these brief moments, you are practicing the discipline of abiding, ensuring your inner life is as nurtured as the spring landscape.
A Prayer for the Journey
Lord, thank You for the gift of this new season. Teach me to root my heart deeply in Your love so that I may grow in ways that honor You. Help me to abide in the shelter of Your presence today, trusting that as I remain in You, You are at work producing good fruit in my life. Amen.
